Both the Panamera and the A7 offer Rochester Hills area drivers with a comfortable and well-equipped interior. There are, however, some significant differences in the standard interior features that you should take note of:
Due to its hatchback design, the Panamera interior is the more versatile of the two. With the 40/20/40-split rear seat folded down, the Porsche can provide up to 47.3 cubic feet of cargo space. The A7 can only provide 24.9 cubic feet. When you need to haul gardening supplies, sports gear, or a week’s worth of groceries from Papa Joe’s, you’ll appreciate the extra room that the Panamera offers.
The Panamera is sometimes considered a 4-door 911, and like that iconic sports car, it is precision-engineered to deliver superior performance on the roads in and around Bloomfield Hills.
Comparing the base trim models of the Panamera and A7, you’ll find that both are equipped with a 3.0L V6 engine. The Panamera engine is paired to a 8-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission with auto start/stop function, and the Audi gets a 7-speed automatic. You get 330 hp with the Porsche V6, and 335 hp with the Audi, but the Panamera can deliver a top track speed of 164 mph, to the 130 mph of the A7. When equipped with the Sport Chrono package, the Panamera adds features such as a performance display with lap times and a drive mode selector.
