Where Should You Clean?

Everyone can understand the importance of taking preventative measures, but what does that mean when it comes to cleaning your vehicle? Here are some simple steps to sanitize your Porsche by area:

• Steering Wheel: You’re clearly going to be in constant contact with the steering wheel while driving, so wipe yours down with disinfectant wipes. Pay close attention to areas like the stitching, seams, and multifunction controls.
• Interior Handles and Buttons: These are other high contact areas, so use disinfectant wipes on them too. Don’t forget the controls for windows and side mirrors. Remember not to use disinfectant wipes on your exterior doors – they can damage the paint.
• Infotainment System: Use a microfiber cloth on the touchscreen, then carefully wipe around the buttons and knobs to get into everywhere bacteria could linger. Don’t use chemicals, paper towels, or tissues on the screen.
• Cup Holders, Consoles, and Storage: Any open area can be a problem, so pick out any crumbs and other rubbish, then wipe them down. You should also remember to wipe down your phone before putting it on any wireless charging surface.
• Seats: Take care of any fabric surfaces, then rinse promptly and dry as much as possible. If you have leather upholstery, remember to do a spot test with any new cleaners to ensure they don’t leave marks or stains. And also remember to always condition after cleaning.
